Frankly I think everyone should use the Firefox web browser and never have to worry about these constant IE / Microsoft security flaws again.
If you're using Firefox already and you want to fix your IE then get the version you need from here.
If you do use IE then go get the patch now.
If you don't use IE you're probably good but also be aware that some programs that have built in browsers actually use the IE engine so if you have any of those you should still get the patch and fix your IE.
